Humility...

But you, LORD, are the One who lifts my head high

(Psalm 3:3)

It was customary to bow before a King....eyes lowered, head bowed.

Now David, the King, bows.  He bows because he is a broken man....with a screwed up family.  His son, is trying to kill him and usurp his authority.

But God touches the head of David, and lifts it up.  It's an act of acceptance....it's an act of love.

This mornings lesson: There is nothing I can do today, to earn God's favor...but what I can do, is bow.
