Sabbath Rest & Date Night in Squamish

We went on a date, to one of our favorite places in the world -- Squamish. Not for trad climbing...like usual. But for some good ol sport climbing. It was a beautiful day!

We piled in the car at 10am. Got there around 11. Started climbing by noon...and didn't quit until 5:30. Got home at 7.

We had so much fun...and, to top it off, met some friends of ours who happened to be in the same place, Murrin Park, at the same time we were! What an unexpected delight!

Here are a few pics to remember the day:

Elizabeth did awesome! She slept...ate...chilled out...She was warm, comfortable and happy!

Daddy and daughter time...and if you are wondering about the tape...It's cause I injured both hands (strained a tendon) in the gym 2 months ago...at the exact same time during a climb in the gym.

We did a bunch of climbs today:

Heidi, just finished Food Frenzy, 5.11b

Joe on Pleasant Pheasant, 5.11a

Joe on Youth Gone Wild, his first 5.12a (completed on top rope)...and he finished it without trouble! Yay!

All in all this was an awesome sabbath rest and date "night". And, to top it off...we finished our afternoon with our tradition when we go to Squamish...dinner at Taco Bell! It ALWAYS hurts our stomachs and never leaves us feeling very healthy...but its SOOO gooooood.

These are good good days....
