1 Moment is all you need

We started this blog in 2004. We have nearly 1000 posts....1000 memories recorded here in our virtual living room. But unlike many blogs out there...we don't record things for our blog or for some marketing reason or even for you our guest. We record them here because each photo is a lesson worth remembering.

It's about the lessons marriage, raising kids, walking with Jesus, hiking and rock climbing teach us. We use our blog like churches use stained glass.

Just as every hymn, icon, and stained-glass window in a church links to a story…..every picture on our blog links to a lesson. Storytelling is our families DNA.

Recently we spent a sabbath day on California's central coast. A friend of ours took this photo of our family watching the sunset. The photo reminds us that as a family we exist to look at something bigger than ourselves. We are not aiming at our own families happiness or success...we have given our lives to pursue the happiness of others and the well-being of the places we have lived.

Most people will tell you to focus on your family, to focus on one other; but we have discovered that focusing on the Kingdom of God made our family amazing.

We are watching something bigger and better than ourselves.
These are good days.
